DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro combo kit leak reveals full accessory set and details super slow-motion feature
A newly leaked image of the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro combo kit has revealed the full range of accessories expected to come with the camera. Apart from the camera itself, the image, shared by @Quadro_News on Twitter/X, details three batteries, a charging hub, a protective frame, mounting brackets, an extension rod, and a USB-C cable.
The inclusion of three batteries means DJI is placing extra focus on extended recording sessions. The charging hub appears designed to charge all three batteries simultaneously. DJI has included a system for mounting, a frame to protect the camera, and an extension rod to help with different shooting situations.
In addition to the hardware, another leak from the same source sheds light on the super slow-motion feature of the Osmo Action 5 Pro. The camera reportedly supports up to 960fps slow-motion through 4x frame interpolation. Up to six slow-motion clips can be generated per video, although the feature is limited to 4K, 2.7K, and 1080p footage with at least 100fps. It should be noted that the first and last few seconds of a clip won't be eligible for slow-motion editing, the leak states.
The camera itself appears to retain a similar design to the previous Osmo Action 4 (currently $269 on Amazon for the standard combo), with a front-facing screen and lens layout that suggests minimal external changes. The exact technical specifications are still unconfirmed, but previously leaked details suggest a 1/1.3-inch sensor with a 155° field of view and 4K/120FPS recording capabilities. Features likeprecision tracking, 360° HorizonSteady and DJI Mic 2 integration will also likely make their way to the Action 5 Pro.
Pricing for the combo kit is rumored to be set around €479 (approx. $531), aligning with earlier reports. An official announcement is expected around September 12. The Action 5 Pro will compete against the likes of the recently announced GoPro Hero 13 Black and the upcoming Insta360 Ace Pro 2, the latest leak for which revealed a dual AI chip and a Leica lens.
