TTArtisan has unveiled a cute 35mm film canister LED light with a removable magnetically-attached hot shoe mount. The BG01B can be attached to a strap for use as a keychain light or to any camera hot shoe for use in illuminating photo and video subjects.
The 250-lumen light is housed in a body that appears like a roll of 35 mm film. One end of the spool has a hole for a strap and acts as the power button. The light has three selectable color temperatures: 3,000K warm white, 4,500K neutral white, and 6,500K cool white. The 15 LED bulbs have a color rendition index (CRI) of 95+, which means illuminated colors will appear true-to-life.
The BG01B weighs 0.7 ounce (20 g), and the cylindrical body measures 1.1 x 1.9 inches (29 x 48 mm). An internal 300 mAh lithium battery provides a runtime of 80 to 160 minutes and recharges in 45 minutes using the USB-C port. A power button cap is included to prevent accidental activation in pockets or purses.
The TTArtisan 35mm film canister LED light has an MSRP of 1,440 yen (~$10) and is available on the Shoten Kobo store (also on Amazon Japan). Readers who don’t have a camera that can film beautiful videos in low-light conditions using just the mini light can upgrade to a DSLR that can (like this one on Amazon).
