Nitecore MH40 Pro with double 21700 USB battery and remote control promises a range of 1,300 meters
Nitecore has just introduced theMH40 Pro, a fairly large flashlight with a design reminiscent of old Maglite flashlights. In other words, it has a longer, albeit very narrow handle and a larger head at the front. This makes it one of the most powerful flashlights in the MH series, but it is also relatively heavy at 417 grams. On Nitcore's homepage, the actual weight is given as 270 grams.
This is due to the special battery supplied. The NBP100R is fundamentally a 21700 round battery that is twice as long. According to Nitecore, it also has a USB-C port for charging. The battery is not yet listed individually. Alternatively, two 21700 batteries can simply be inserted one after the other. With these batteries, however, the flashlight only manages a maximum of 2,000 lumens instead of the 3,500 lumens with the NBP100R, and the range also drops from 1,300 meters to 900 meters.
The batteries must thus always be recharged outside the flashlight. The battery life in turbo mode is 45 minutes, provided that the flashlight does not overheat and you manage to keep the button pressed for 45 minutes during use. The mode is not designed for continuous operation.
In normal mode, the battery life increases to over four hours, while the other modes allow for extended use over a typical working day. The flashlight also offers strobe, beacon and SOS modes. There are two different ways of finding out the battery status: one is an LED display and the other is a vibration as soon as the battery drops below ten percent.
The flashlight does not have PWM, so it should provide a pleasant light in normal operation. As a special feature, Nitecore supplies a wireless 2.4 GHz remote control, which is paired with the flashlight so that other remote controls cannot trigger the flashlight.
Niteccre has not yet announced the price or availability for the MH40 Pro.
The above is the detailed content of Nitecore MH40 Pro with double 21700 USB battery and remote control promises a range of 1,300 meters. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
