Early Xiaomi POCO F7 Pro sighting reveals link with Redmi K80
The POCO F6 Pro (curr. $512.50 on Amazon) has not been out long, having been announced on May 23. Nonetheless, Gizmochina has already spotted an early sighting of its successor. As is often the case, the website has discovered the first reference to the POCO F7 Pro through an IMEI database result, evidence of which we have embedded below.
Based on this, it seems that Xiaomi is developing the POCO F7 Pro under the root model number '24122RKC7', with its 'G' suffix denoting a global model. On the face of it, the first four digits suggest that Xiaomi intends to release '24122RKC7' in December 2024. However, this release window will likely apply to the POCO F7 Pro's Chinese counterpart, as proved the case with thePOCO F6 Pro.
For context, while Xiaomi developed thePOCO F6 Prounder the root model number '23113RKC6', the device only received a Chinese release in November 2023. Even then, Xiaomi sells thePOCO F6 Proas the Redmi K70 in its home market. To that end, it appears that the POCO F7 Pro shares a lineage with the Redmi K80, which was seen at the start of the month in a similar fashion with the model number '24122RKC7C'. Unfortunately, Xiaomi's plans for the POCO F7 Pro and Redmi K80 are unknown for now, including whether it will opt for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets.
