Michael Saylor Predicts Bitcoin (BTC) Price Will Hit $13 Million by 2045

MicroStrategy co-founder Michael Saylor made a bold prediction at the Bitcoin 2024 conference, stating that the price of BTC could reach $13 million per coin by 2045.
During his keynote speech on July 26, Saylor highlighted the potential for significant price appreciation, describing his prediction as a "baseline." He encouraged attendees to embrace a bullish mindset, aiming to become "triple maxi" Bitcoin bulls.
"It could be a $3 million bear case, it could be a $49 million bull case," Saylor remarked.
Emphasizing the importance of allocating assets towards Bitcoin, Saylor outlined a strategy that involves financing a house for BTC, purchasing the cryptocurrency directly, and shifting to a tax-friendly jurisdiction. By investing an additional $50,000 in Bitcoin, the net worth could reach approximately $214 million, according to his estimation.
Saylor also discussed the concept of entropy and its impact on various forms of capital. He explained that physical capital, such as bonds, stocks, Ferraris, and Miami Beach real estate, is subject to the rules of thermodynamics, including the tendency of energy to dissipate over time.
According to Saylor, entropy drains energy and capital from tangible assets, ultimately reducing their value. He highlighted the enduring nature of the Crown Estate in the United Kingdom, which has been under the Royal Family's ownership since 1066. However, even in the best-case scenario, physical assets are likely to last only 1,000 years, with a more realistic estimate being 50 to 75 years.
"There’s a reason it’s called Earth and not Heaven,” Saylor noted.
In contrast to physical assets, Saylor pointed to Bitcoin as an exception, describing it as "not in the physical world" and possessing "an infinite lifespan." He further stated that "Bitcoin is immortal, immutable, and immaterial, […] and it is the solution to our economic dilemma."
notable, MicroStrategy is among the world's largest publicly traded Bitcoin holders. As of June 20, the company had 226,331 BTC, with an average price of $36,798 per coin, totaling nearly $8.33 billion.
