Deal | HP Envy x360 convertible with Intel Core Ultra 7 155U and OLED touchscreen slips under $1,000
Intel’s Lunar Lake mobile processors could launch as early as this September and OEMs are already starting to drop prices for Meteor Lake models. HP, for instance, is offering a $220 discount on the Envy x360 2-in-1 14-inch notebook powered by the Core Ultra 7 155U that is now available at $929.99 for a limited time.
This model gets the Intel Evo certification so it is fairly slim and light with 0.67-inch profile and 3.08 lbs weight. While the Core Ultra 7 155U is missing 4 performance cores and 4 iGPU cores compared to the 155H model, and the 16 GB LPDDR5-6400 RAM is not upgradeable, most of the other specs are compensating for these limitations. Nevertheless, the AI processing power is the same across all Core Ultra CPUs, and they keyboard comes with the new dedicated AI Copilot key.
HP offers an excellent 14-inch OLED touchscreen with 2880 x 1800 resolution, 48 - 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, IMAX Enhanced compatibility, Gorilla Glass protection, 500 nit peak brightness for HDR content and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Above the display, there is a 5 MP webcam with IR sensor, privacy shutter and dual array mics. The storage solution integrates a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.
Port selection includes 2x USB-A 10 Gbps (one with charge function), 2x USB-C (one with Thunderbolt 4 speeds), HDMI 2.1 video out and an audio combo jack. Wireless connectivity is up to date with the latest Wi-Fi 7 + BT 5.4 standards. HP claims that the provided 59 Wh battery can last up to 10.5 H in video playback mode and it also supports fast charging (~50% in 30 minutes).
