Nio launches new POWER UP 10000mAh Magnetic Power Bank
Nio has launched the POWER UP 10000mAh Magnetic Power Bank in China. The accessory is a version of the Sharge ICEMAG power bank, with a new design that is said to be inspired by the brand’s battery swap stations. The product launched alongside a 170W fast charging power bank and a model of the company’s battery swap station for EVs.
The Nio POWER UP Magnetic Power Bank offers a 7.5W magnetic wireless charging pad supporting the Qi wireless charging standard. A second device can be charged via the USB-C output up to 20W. The port supports PD and QC charging protocols and the accessory has a built-in 8,000 rpm fan, which is said to run quietly, promotes heat dissipation, and cools the power bank. Safety features protect against issues like overvoltage, overcurrent and overheating. According to Nio, the product is compatible with a range of devices, including the iPhone 15, the Nintendo Switch, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro and the iPad Pro.
The Nio POWER UP 10000mAh Magnetic Power Bank can be purchased at the official Nio mall in China for 329 yuan (~$45). It is unclear whether or when the device could launch in other markets, such as Europe, where it sells models like the ET7. The Sharge ICEMAG Magnetic Power Bank retails for $59.99 in the US.
