射频干扰的影响
作为理解无线局域网中射频干扰问题的基础，让我们简单了解一下802.11站点(客户无线电和接入点)访问无线介质的方式。每一个802.11站点只在没有其它站点传输信号的时候发送数据包。如果碰巧其它站点发送一个数据包，其它站点要等到这个介质空闲的时候。实际的802.11介质访问协议是比较复杂的。但是，这个介绍足以让你了解起步的基础知识。
射频干扰包括影响正常的无线通讯工作的不需要的干扰射频信号。由于802.11介质访问协议，一个充分放大的射频干扰信号和频率能够被看作是一个传输数据包的虚假的802.11站点。这将引起合法的802.11站点等待一段时间，在这个干扰信号消失之后在访问这个介质。
更糟糕的是，射频干扰并不遵守802.11介质访问协议，这个干扰信号会在合法的802.11站点传输信号的时候突然出现。如果发生这种情况，目的地站点将接收有错误的数据包，不能用确认的方式向源站点做出应答。这样，源站点将试图重新发送这个数据包，从而增加网络的开销。
