该合作将涵盖云计算的全部层级，即应用、平台和基础设施。
对Salesforce来说，其计划在甲骨文Linux操作系统、Exadata工程系统、Oracle数据库和Java中间件平台上实现标准化。
甲骨文方面，公司计划将Salesforce.com与Oracle的Fusion HCM、Financial Cloud进行整合，并为Salesforce.com的应用和平台提供核心技术。Salesforce.com还将在整个公司的财务中使用Oracle的Fusion HCM、Financial Cloud应用程序。
Salesforce的CEO Marc Benioff说：“Larry和我都认为Salesforce.com和Oracle需要将我们的云服务整合在一起。”
